I haven't been into photography much lately. My little brother Jimmy Clinger passed away in October. He was 25, funny, goofy, nerdy, always late, and a hopeless romantic. He and his girlfriend Crystal Lawrence were killed in a motorcycle accident on Little Rd. I miss him more and more every day. I know my family has been completely torn a part over this. We all love him dearly and just aren't sure how to go on in life with out him. He was head over heels in love with Crystal. He met her and with in weeks they both got matching ring tattoos on their hands. They were together when ever they could be, and they were planning on getting married on New Years Eve. They met late in August, and they were killed October 26th at 5:06pm, which is also the exact time my brother was born. I am thankful that I had him in my life for 25 years. I wish we could have had more time together, but I know I will see him again one day.

I had the chance this weekend to be a part of something beautiful, and very special. My good friend Kristina got married and I was lucky enough to photograph the wedding. I had a complete blast, and in the process I lost my cell phone. I should have it back by the end of this week. The bride looked amazing, and the whole ceremony was just perfect.

I have had a lot going on lately, so I haven't been in the picture mood. I have decided that this new year I am going to push my self harder to actually do something with my photography. I am going to try to take atleast one picture a day. We will see how that goes, I guess.

This is the last picture I really made an effort to take, and it was take back in November up in New Hampshire.

The Phone Call...

I got a phone call last week. Let me just narrate how the phone call went...

Cell phone rings.

Me: Hello?

Odd person: Hi, Can I speak to Rochelle Pochily. ( She completely pronounced my name wrong.)

Me: This is her.

OP: I was just calling to inform you that your tire was found on Dale Mabry highway today. It was traced back to you, and you now have a court date for your lost tire.

Me: What? How the hell did I lose a tire and not know it? Wait, that is nearly impossible.

OP: I am just the person who is supposed to notify you Maam.

Me: Seriously lady, it is just not possible. ( Thinking to my self for a few short seconds "Wait did I Lose a tire?" and then realizing how could I of driven with 3 tires.)

OP: Maam, your court date will be April 16th. You will be getting a letter in the mail shortly to remind you of that date.

Me: Lady, it doesn't make sense.... Do the math, 4 tires equals movable vehicle, 3 tires does not.

OP: You don't need to get an attitude with me, I am just the one informing you.

I finally hang the phone up, and I have this puzzled look on my face. Jason stars asking me about the strange caller. I tell him the story and he tells me to ignore it because first off tires aren't registered to you, 2nd off you would notice a tire missing, and 3rd off you would not get a call from some one.

I was seriously laughing my ass off, because for a split 2nd I thought maybe I did lose a tire... I am truly a flake sometimes.

lol, what a funny prank call. I did find out later that night it was my little sister and her friend doing the pranking.....

I shot this wedding this weekend, and let me tell you it was quite the fiasco. My poor friend Hollie came along, and I am positive that she left with high blood pressure. We were asked to bring the rings and programs to the Ushers, and since I was at the brides place taking pictures of her getting into the limo; I had to rush to get to the wedding before they did. Well Hollie took the box and ran it to the Ushers, and somewhere in the exchange of the box a ring was lost. Hollie felt horrible, so she ran to see if it had fallen out in my car. While she looked in my car, she threw the keys down on the seat and forgot about them. My keys were then locked in my car, and we had to call my husband and get him to drive 40 miles to bring us extra keys...

All turned out well though, and the ring was found. Here are a few shots from the wedding

This is what I got today. It was supposed to be delivered on the 9th from Fedex, but apparently my apartment complex just forgot to let me know.

It is freaking hilarious. I have no clue who sent it, and I think it is a really freaking funny gift. It didn't have anything in it but the book, two padded envelopes, and an empty Digital converter box that was apparently supposed to be padding.

Apparently there are a crap load of parents that just want to get rid of their teenagers. If I were a teen right now, my mom probably would of threatened me with this idea..... I just can't imagine raising a child until they are a teenager, and then giving up.

If you are some one who wants to get rid of your kid with no questions, you only have a week left to do it Nebraska........

OMAHA, Nebraska (CNN) -- Nebraska officials said they're concerned about an apparent rush by parents to drop their teenage children off at hospitals before lawmakers change the state's troubled "safe haven" law.

Four children have been dropped off at Nebraska hospitals in the last two days.

The latest cases came the day before the state Legislature kicked off a special session to add an age limit to the law.
On Thursday, a boy, 14, and his 17-year-old sister were dropped off at an Omaha hospital; the girl ran away from the hospital, officials said. A 5-year-old boy was left by his mother at a different hospital, officials said.
The day before, a father flew in from Miami, Florida, to leave his teenage son at a hospital, officials said.
"Please don't bring your teenager to Nebraska," Gov. Dave Heineman said. "Think of what you are saying. You are saying you no longer support them. You no longer love them.

Nebraska's safe haven law was intended to allow parents to hand over an infant anonymously to a hospital without being prosecuted. Of the 34 children who have been dropped off at hospitals, officials said, not one has been an infant.
All but six have been older than 10, according to a Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services analysis.
State officials said that because of legislative procedures, it will take at least a week to change the language of the safe haven law, creating a window where more parents could try to take advantage of the loophole in the statute.
"We are ready and prepared that that situation occurs," said Todd Landry of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. "We want people to understand that this is not the right way of getting the service for your child, your teenager or your family."

"What you've seen is an extraordinary cry for help from people all across the country," White said. "Nebraska can't afford to take care of all of them. Nebraska would like to be able to, but they know that we can't, so we are going to have to change the law."
There's growing support among many Nebraska lawmakers to limit the safe haven law to children no older than 3 days. But several lawmakers said they'll push for something closer to a 30-day age limit.

The safe haven law was meant to protect infants, but there is no age limit under the current law. Five of the abandoned children were brought to Nebraska from out of state. Parents have traveled into Nebraska from Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, Florida and Georgia.
Tysheema Brown drove from Georgia to leave her teenage son at an Omaha hospital.

"Do not judge me as a parent. I love my son, and my son knows that," Brown said. "There is just no help. There hasn't been any help."
Safe haven laws allow distraught parents, who fear that their children are in imminent danger, to drop them off at hospitals without being charged with abandonment. Nebraska was the last state in the country to pass such a law. But every other state included an age limit.
The Department of Health and Human Services published a background profile on 30 of the 34 safe haven cases. The report found:
Twenty-seven children have received mental health treatment.
28 children come from single-parent homes.
22 children had a parent with a history of incarceration.
20 of the 30 children are white; eight are black.
There are 6,600 children in state custody, according to the Department of Health and Human Services. Per capita, the figure is one of the highest rates in the country, Landry said.
"I think this has spurred some really healthy conversations about how do parents get the help that they need when they are struggling with some of these parenting issues," he said."And the message that we have been trying to get out is, 'Don't wait until it's a crisis. Reach out to your family and friends.' "

Tarpon Springs Photo Walk

I haven't really been doing much creatively with my photography lately, and I really think I need to practice. Saturday night I went on a photo walk at the Sponge Docks in Tarpon. It was definetly a lot of fun. When it came to taking pictures though, I felt like a fish out of water. I had no clue what to do. It has been so long since I had to take pictures of something other then people and animals. I spent about an hour and a half down there and came back with maybe 12 photos... I have now decided that atleast once a week I am going to try to take more artistic photos. Here is what I got from the photo shoot on Saturday.
